South Carolina’s manufacturing sector, anchored by automotive, aerospace, and logistics, is driving one of the strongest economies in the Southeast. The challenge ahead is ensuring that growth translates into higher wages, local investment, and lasting opportunity.

Persistent underfunding and rural inequity continue to hold back K-12 education. Expanding technical training, apprenticeships, and broadband access is key to preparing South Carolinians for jobs in a modern economy.
